How the job runs
Once power is confirmed safe, pumps remove the bulk of the water and a wet vacuum takes care of the rest. Anything unsalvageable is hauled out and photographed. Drying equipment is then positioned along the walls and across the slab, and the readings start.
Concrete slabs and block walls release moisture slowly, so a basement often needs two to four days of equipment, sometimes longer after a deep flood. A dehumidifier keeps the air dry so the walls can give up their water instead of reabsorbing it.

Do I need a sump pump, a dehumidifier, or both?
A sump pump handles water that collects and rises. A dehumidifier handles humidity that stays in the air and condenses on cool surfaces. Most wet Missouri basements benefit from both, and neither one replaces fixing the water entry point.
Is it worth drying an unfinished concrete basement?
